Nine for nine is how you could describe Sevilla's transfer movements for the 17/18 season, following the close of the transfer market this Friday. Nine left and nine arrived, with one more if you count Borja Lasso's inclusion in the First Team

Leaving the club Rami, Tremoulinas and Mariano were replaced in defense by Kjaer, Corchia and Carole. In the centre of midfield, Geis and Pizarro took the places of Iborra and Kranevitter. On the wings and in attacking-midfield Vitolo and Nasri left to be replaced by Ever Banega, Jesús Navas and Nolito. And up-front Vietto and Jovetic left, leaving Luis Muriel to join Wissam Ben Yedder and Carlos Fernández in the front-line.

For the exciting 17/18 season, then, Sevilla FC have put forward a squad of 25 players, with cover in every position. In some positions, we have even more options; for example, in a central attacking-midfield role, Eduardo Berizzo has three options to choose from. Despite the excitement, it will be the team's performance in the coming games that will determine if they are a stronger group than the last.

Of the nine signings, two arrive from the Premier League (Navas and Nolito), two arrive from the Serie A (Banega and Muriel) and two arrive from the Turkish League (Simon Kjaer and Lionel Carole). Meanwhile, Guido Pizarro joins from the Mexican League, Corchia from Ligue 1 and Geis from the Bundesliga.
