Lucas Ocampos celebrated his 150th match as a Sevillista in the best way possible yesterday. The Argentine was the one who opened the scoring at the Nuevo Mirandilla after latching onto a rebound inside the area and firing the ball into the back of the net, amongst many Cádiz players trying to block his effort on the line. Following his return from Ajax, he has come back and been a key man in attack. In fact, since his return he has scored three goals and made one assist. In the last three games, he has scored two goals. It's also worth recognising how much our man loves playing in this Andalusian derby, scoring in the last two fixtures at the Nuevo Mirandilla as well as winning the decisive penalty in the home fixture this season.

In his 150th game, Ocampos scored his 37th goal, making him the fourth highest goalscorer in the squad currently. He is only behind Rakitic, En-Nesyri and Jesús Navas, and he is only two goals behind the club captain now. He has 16 assists for the side and as he has been directly involved in 53 goals for the club, he has been involved in the highest number of goals since arriving at the club fir the 2019/20 season. He has played 110 matches in LaLiga Santander where he has scored 27 goals, 12 matches in Copa del Rey where he has scored 5 goals, 14 matches in the UEFA Europa League with three goals, one goal in 13 UEFA Champions League appearances and one goal in a European Super Cup fixture.

Voted as Man of the Match by LaLiga, the Argentina didn't hide his happiness at how the team played in the first match under José Luis Mendilibar: "This is a style which suits us more, we attack more and had several chances. Winning is always important, it gives the team confidence because we have many tough but exciting fixtures coming up". Saying this, Ocampos will be unavailable for the match on Friday against Celta Vigo having picked up his fifth yellow card in Cádiz.
