FRANCK HAISE: "SEVILLA HAVE MORE EXPERIENCE BUT WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS ON THE PITCH"

Franck Haise spoke to the media at the Ramon Sánchez Pizjuán, a few hours after travelling to Sevilla for his Lens side's Champions League opener. The coach noted that the home team "are different to us, they have lots of experience in the European Cup. Last season they won the Europa League for the seventh time, but we will try to make the match our own."

Lens will be searching for their first win of the season as they head into the European campaign. Discussing Group B, Haise acknowledged that "it's true it could be a more equal group. There are teams with more experience than us, but ultimately it's what happens on the pitch that determines who progresses. We might be the underdogs of this group, but we will try to match the opposition. Despite our misfortunes in the league so far, we go into this match with the same mentality. We are going to play with lots of desire." 

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Brice Samba spoke about Lucas Ocampos, with whom he played at Marseille: "Lucas is a great friend. We met up in Paris this summer. It was tough for him when he first arrived in Europe, but he is relentless and I'm really looking forward to seeing him tomorrow.".
