Roque Mesa, who started against Villarreal, explained his thoughts on the defeat: 'We are annoyed. We've been having problems away from home lately because we aren't competitive enough and you can see that with the result today. We were not intense and you could see they wanted it more than us.'
'They scored two goals from a few chances in the first half and then we had chances but that counts for nothing if you don't put them in. The result is what it is and we were not able to score; we are working on this because it's worrying what's happening away from home,' explained the midfielder.
The Canarian finished off by saying 'any team can beat you at home but we can't compare Europe and La Liga. The level is very high here and it's tough to win away. It's been a very long time since we did and we have to look at ourselves to see why we aren't playing well and what we can do to resolve it.'
