Sevilla FC vs. Leganés will not kick off at 16:15pm, as was originally scheduled in La Liga's timetables. The formal appeal made by Sevilla FC to the league - on account of high temperatures forecast at that time - has been appeased, meaning fans and players will not have to suffer through suffocating heat this Saturday. The game will instead kick off at 22:30pm.

It should be pointed out that Sevilla FC - through club Chairman José Castro - already asked for a formal commitment by La Liga on the 5th of October, after scorching heat took centre stage in Sevilla's home clash against Málaga.

The Chairman himself announced the news after victory against FC Cartagena: "This change is the product of the work we carried over ten days to make sure we were clear, because it was going to be over 30 degrees... La Liga has listened to our appeal. 22:30pm is a fantastic time for all the Sevillistas to support, enjoy and even suffer with the team in their bid to get a win over Leganés".

Castro wanted to look forward, and to take advantage of the victory in Cartagena: "We have to be tight-knit, with a squad and coaches all 100% committed... If we're tight-knit I'm sure we can achieve our aims... We are here to push up the table again, to achieve our objectives we have to keep supporting our team. We're conscious of that and no one is going to take that away from us".

The Chairman also assured that: "we are aware Sevilla can't give the image it has in the last three matches; the team is aware, we have to react. We've now reacted and we have to continue... On Saturday we need to light up the Sánchez-Pizjuán".
