SERGI GÓMEZ: 'WE HAVE TO DO LOTS OF THINGS WELL TO GET EACH WIN'

Sergi Gómez gave another good performance at the back and he spoke about the win against Valladolid in the post-match interview area: 'We knew that it was an important match and that it wouldn't be easy. They had only lost one match away from home and that was at the Bernabéu and we're proud to have got through such a tough match. They had moments when they were stretched and that also allowed us to have opportunities. Although we were a little bit open at times, we fought for every ball and that allowed us to get the points.'

'We have to do lots of things well to get each win and to be up there in the table is no coincidence. We have to be aware because this could be a different La Liga to what we're used to and I think that this is the reward for our consistency and winning matches like this one and the one against Espanyol. There are moments when the opposition threatened, but we did a good job.'
