Sevilla FC achieved another league victory yesterday against Getafe, the second in a row after the win against Cádiz at the Nuevo Mirandilla and the first of 2022 in front of the home fans at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. The one goal in the first half from Rafa Mir was enough for the white and reds to reach 44 points in the table after 20 matchdays - their best-ever total in La Liga, after previously making the second-best start at the halfway mark of a season. The Sevilla striker scored with a skilful finish after a cross from the right by Ocampos, who continues to set records in the 21/22 season.

And the former Quilmes player, with the pass to Mir, registered his eleventh goal contribution of the current season for Sevilla FC. The Argentinian has scored seven and assisted four goals in his last fourteen games, the same figures as he managed in his previous 55 games in the white and red shirt. These incredible figures from Lucas Ocampos perfectly capture the tremendous fight, courage and resistance that Julen Lopetegui has formed in his squad.

In total, the Sevilla number 5 has scored 32 goals and made 13 assists since his arrival in Seville in the summer of 2019 in 114 games played. Ocampos has also equalled his total of assists for last season with Sevilla FC and is only a goal behind the eight that he scored in 20/21. The Argentinian winger now has also overtaken the number of goals he scored at Olympic Marseilles, where he scored 27 goals in 132 games, and he is now only two assists from matching the fifteen he made for the French team.
