Jesús Navas has been called up by the Spanish national team for their upcoming fixtures against Scotland and Norway, as they look to secure their spot at next summer's European Championships. The schedule offers our captain the chance to play in front of a local crowd, as well as do battle with a Sevilla teammate. Luis de la Fuente's men will play in Seville on Thursday 12th October at Estadio de la Cartuja, kicking off against the Scots at 20:45 CEST. They will then travel to Scandinavia face Orjan Nyland and his compatriots on Sunday 15th, with both matches starting taking place in the same time slot. Spain are currently second in Group A on 9 points, with a game in hand on leaders Scotland, who have 15 points.

Meanwhile, Djibril Sow has also been called up for international duty with his native Switzerland for their European Championship qualifiers against Israel and Belarus. The Swiss squad will first take on Israel away on Thursday 12th at 20:45 CEST before hosting Belarus three days later at 18:00 CEST on Sunday 15th. Switzerland currently sit top of Group I after accumulating 14 points from seven games, two ahead of Romania.
