0-3: THE PERFECT GAME, A GREAT VICTORY AGAINST REAL SOCIEDAD AWAY FROM HOME

Sevilla FC Women claimed an impressive victory away to Real Sociedad (0-3). The team that is trained by Cristian Toro imposed themselves on Sociedad, winning the individual battles in the first half and confirming the victory in the second half, with the scoreboard too damaging for the home side to recover. Sevilla started dominating the game through the work of Martín-Prieto and Ana Franco, responding to the threat posed by the home side who were able to count on creative players like Nerea Eizagirre. Elene Lete saved her side from going behind several times in the first half, whilst Franssi had the clearest chance for Sociedad after 25 minutes, when she sent the ball wide from a good position.

The best was yet to come for our side who deservedly took the lead as some good interplay between Amanda Sampedro and Ana Franco resulted in Toni Payne converting an opportunity which saw the scoreboard get up-and-running on the Seventh Pitch in Zubieta.   

Despite going ahead, Sevilla FC did not stop trying to go further in front and came away with three points after a impressive performance in Zubieta

There is now a break in the league season, after a fixture in which Sociedad sought to win, but they faced a Sevilla side who were not only strong in defence, but always wanted more in attack and show their superiority over their rival. Just ten minutes after kick off, an electric Toni Payne scored a brilliant solo goal, picking the ball up from the right-hand side of the pitch before beating several defenders and slotting past Elene Lete, her second goal of the game.

From this moment, the Argentine manager started to refresh his side with various introductions from the bench. Whilst Amaiur had the opportunity to cut the lead in one of the best chances for Natalia Arroyo's side with twenty minutes left, it was in the 85 minute when Inma Gabbro would score the third for the away side, as she chipped Lete from the edge of the box, having been played through on goal by Rosa Otermín. 

This result means that the team has claimed 13 out of the 15 possible, with the team going into the international break on the back of four victories and a draw (three of these victories were consecutive and clean sheets). The team lie in seventh position on 26 points, with Sociedad on the same number of points in eighth, both of them one place and one point of Valencia Fémeninas CF.

The next match will be at the start of March, as we host Levante UD, who are third in the Finetwork Liga F. The fixture will be played on 5 March at 16:00 in the Estadio Jesús Navas.
