ÓLIVER TORRES: "THIS WIN SHOULD GIVE US THE CONFIDENCE TO END THE SEASON IN STYLE"

Óliver Torres, Nemanja Gudelj and Youssef En-Nesyri shared their thoughts after Sunday's win against UD Las Palmas. On what happened at the Gran Canaria Stadium on Sunday, Óliver was the first to comment on what this victory means: "We knew the importance of this game. The sending off definitely worked to our advantage. We managed to take the lead, but there's still a lot of work to do in attacking areas. We're at the crucial point of the season where the most important thing is to win and I hope that this gives us the confidence to continue in the same vein." The midfielder pointed out that "they dominated us, although they didn't have many chances. It was very hot and I'd like to thank our fans for coming along, hopefully they enjoyed themselves." To close, he touched on this match being his 200th for the club: "To have 200 games with a club like Sevilla is something unique. I feel privileged and I'm grateful every day for the opportunity they gave me, and it's amazing we could mark the occasion with a victory."

Nemanja Gudelj, who played a leading role in the game, including providing the assist for the first goal, also pointed out that "in the first minute, I was hit and I couldn't continue towards the goal and I think it was a clear red card. Then, En-Nesyri's finish from my cross was fantastic. All games against these teams are difficult, and Las Palmas play well with the ball, but knew if we kept a clean sheet then the game was within our groups." He also commented on how much this victory this means: "The win gives you peace of mind, but I've always said that we are Sevilla and that we have to look upwards. We go into every match eager to win."

Finally, goal scorer En-Nesyri also expressed his delight with the result: "I'm very happy with the win and the team's work, we have to continue like this to give our fans more victories. The most important thing for me is to help the team. Naturally I wanted to score the second, but what matters is that everyone is contributing in what is a true team effort."
