SEVILLA FC WILL TAKE PART IN THE PRESTIGIOUS EMIRATES CUP FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SUMMER

Sevilla FC will participate for the first time in their history in the Emirates Cup, which will take place on 29 and 30 July 2017 at the Emirates Stadium in London. The three other teams playing in a tournament will be the organising club, Arsenal FC, SL Benfica and RB Leipzig, a team who have been a revelation in the Bundesliga.

This summer’s Emirates Cup will be the ninth edition of a tournament which began when Arsenal left Highbury to move to their current stadium. Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Valencia CF and Villarreal CF are the four Spanish clubs who have played in this prestigious summer competition.

Sevilla FC will play the opening match on Saturday 29 July at 14:00 against RB Leipzig and at 16:20 on the same day Arsenal will face Benfica. On Sunday 30 July, RB Leipzig will play Benfica at 14:00, after which Sevilla FC will face Arsenal at 16:20. All times are stated in local time.

The teams will get three points for a win and one point for a draw, while every goal scored will also count for an extra point. Shots on target will be used as a tie-breaker if points and goal difference cannot decide a winner.
