Minutes after the announcement of Jorge Paradela's arrival to the Club as Director General for Business, Development & Marketing, Paradela was interviewed by Sevilla FC Radio to speak about the immense challenge put before him. He began by affirming 'this is a very special moment for my family and me. I will face this challenge with desire, passion and humility. I worked for many years in a marvellous company in Heineken, which we pronounce Cruzcampo here in Andalusia, but now I have the honour of embarking upon an extremely exciting project in which I will place my knowledge and experience at Sevilla FC's disposal.'
JORGE PARADELA: 'IT'S AN OPPORTUNITY PROFESSIONALLY WHICH INCLUDES A PERSONAL DREAM'
In Paradela's case, the professional and personal intertwine as he is a Sevillista and member of the Club, meaning defending the badge 'is a project which unites professional and personal motivation. It's a huge professional challenge, with the objectives the Club has, and I have the fortune to work for something which I really care about - you can never change your team. It's a dream, it's a professional opportunity which includes a personal dream and I will wear this badge with pride.'
'Sevilla FC is a very well-known and respected club, with a strong brand'
Paradela will join the Club in July, a team he has seen grow from the outside: 'From the outside I can see that Sevilla FC is a very-well known and respected club, with a strong brand. 15 or 20 years ago if you said what your team was rarely did someone know it off the bat, you had to tell them a bit about the Club. Nowadays, Sevilla FC is a firmly established project. The Club have embarked upon an important journey with the ambition we all share to break into the footballing elite.'
