This Friday, Heineken Spain's vaccination programme against COVID-19 began, and both Sevilla FC and Real Betis employees joined the Sumamos Salud+Economía plan. The objective is to drive public awareness and immunity in Andalusia, as well as helping to contain the virus. The plan contains a number of initiatives with which companies can collaborate, ranging from tests to vaccination itself. More than one-hundred employees of the three companies over the age of 35 voluntarily signed up to be vaccinated with the single-dose Janssen vaccine under the supervision of the Andalusian Health Service. A double-vaccination system has been put in place - a traditional service on foot and another one in your car. Waiting rooms for both systems have been set up to allow 15 minutes to see how patients react to the vaccine.
Sevilla FC board member Luis Castro and Head of Medical Services Pedro Ellauri took part in the day. So too did the Government delegate to the Junta de Andalucía, Ricardo Sánchez. The President of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs in Seville, Miguel Rus, was vaccinated as too was Head of Corporate Relations at Heineken Spain, Carmen Ponce and Medical Service member Javier Guillén from Real Betis.
