Fernando, Diego Carlos and Ocampos spoke to club media after the defeat against LOSC Lille. The three players agreed on the bad taste in the mouth the result leaves, with Fernando Regas indicating first that "there is no explication. We started the game well, we scored and after the penalty, the team hit a slump and we lost it in the second half, but we have to continue now that there are two games left. We hope to win them both." Also, the midfielder referred to the penalty decision but it is now in the past, as the thinking turns to the game on Sunday. "I have not seen if it was a penalty, my teammates say that it wasn't and it is complicated because against us strange this always happen. This group is complicated, we have to win the two games and we are going to fight and now we have to play a tricky derby away against Betis. We will forget what happened today to come ready with the three points."
FERNANDO, DIEGO CARLOS AND OCAMPOS SPEAK AFTER THE DEFEAT AGAINST LOSC LILLE IN NERVIÓN
Diego Carlos himself highlighted that "it is a defeat that we were not expecting. It has been a very tricky game. We had chances and we have to think about the next game. We have to improve collectively and we were short in many areas, but the team always wanted to get a draw in a quite tough game. In these moments we have to be calmer and I hope that we can learn from this." He also highlighted the mentality of the changing room. "We have a good changing room and we always go out prepared. We have to have a bit more patience and calmness in these games with more heart and leadership. We wanted to get the win but we have not been able to and we hope to do that in La Liga this coming Sunday although things have not finished yet in the Champions League,"
Lucas Ocampos was the last to appear, reflecting his disappointment. "The result is negative after making a winning start and having the game under control. We are angry, we wanted to win and it is difficult to put into words right now. It is down to us. We have to win the next two games. We have to go through a lot to win both matches." The Argentinian also thought ahead to the game next Sunday with the idea of getting a positive result. "We go into the derby with all of the hunger that we went out with today, hoping that it won't be the same result because we want and need the win."
