Guilherme Arana is making the most of his last days in Brazil before travelling to Spain to join up with his new Sevilla FC teammates. Following a specific training plan since his signing, the Brazilian assured the media that he was "very grateful for everything that has happened to in the past year and hoping to can contribute in a Sevilla shirt... I know it's a very aggressive team that fights for titles and has a magnificent fanbase. I'm certain I'll be able to help here".
Sevilla wasn't the only option that Arana had on his horizon but the full-back explained: "I chose Sevilla because of the faith management has shown in me. They travelled to Sao Paulo to speak to me and they made me feel sure. I was very happy with the conversations so I had no doubts in signing for Sevilla".
He also admitted "the fact that there have been great Brazilian players - Daniel Alves, Baptista, Renato, Adriano, Luis Fabiano - who came here and were really well treated was something I clearly took into account when making a decision".
