Sevilla FC's history in the derbies are dazzling and clear. This Sunday saw the 137th league derby take place in which Sevilla FC kept up their clear statistical dominance, even more so with thanks to yesterday's victory in the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. In fact, Sevilla FC have accumulated 65 wins, 32 draws and 40 defeats against their city rivals. The win rate for the Red and Whites is already at 47.7%, a number that rises to 70.8% in matches in which they have remained unbeaten.

An even more hard-hitting stat when talking about the games played in Nervión, now with the addition of yesterday's win, Sevilla have won 41, drawn 11 and suffered just 16 defeats. This means Sevilla FC have managed to win 60.3% and only lose in 23.5% of their home derbies. Still with a focus on all competitions, despite our defeat in the cup game in the green and white part of town, the percentages are on equal terms. In fact, both teams have managed 24 victories and there has been 21 draws played out at the Betis ground. Statistically, Sevilla have won 60.3% of the matches when they have welcomed Real Betis, whereas our arch-rivals have a 34.8% win percentage at the Villamarín.

Jesús Navas is the Sevilla player that has appeared in the most derbies

The Sevilla team takes the upper hand in the breakdown of each of the competitions in which there have been derbies. However, in regards to LaLiga Santander, the numbers are particularly convincing. In fact, Sevilla are just one win away from having had fifty top flight derby wins. Yesterday turned out to be the 49th, with Betis having won 30 and there having been 23 draws between the two sides. By this token, Sevilla have won 48% of the total number of league derbies, having lost only 29.4% of them.

Now taking a look at the individual side of things, The Big Derby also brought about some broken records, one player that headlined was Jesús Navas. Navas has now played in a grand total of 23 derbies, which makes him the only Sevilla player in history to have featured this many times against our neighbours. In front of him remains Joaquín (26) and Esnaola (24) and also with 23 is Diego Rodríguez, who played for both sides. Navas, in these 23 games, has amassed eleven wins, six draws and six losses.
