The initial list of seven nominees has now been whittled down to five

FIFA have today confirmed the definitive list of five nominees for the Best Men's Goalkeeper award.

After publishing an initial list of seven candidates, Yassine Bono has been named amongst the final five. He is up against Alisson Becker (Liverpool FC), Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid) and Emiliano Martínez (Aston Villa FC). Ederson Moraes (Manchester City) is the last of the five candidates, but was not included amongst the original seven nominees.

Voting will close on 3rd February, with votes divided into four blocks of 25%: journalists, national team managers, national team captains and fans. The winner will be announced shortly afterwards.
