Éver Banega reached a milestone stat after last night's game against Huesca, completing his 100th game for Sevilla in the league. He reaches the figure after the ten he has played this season (unbeaten in all of them), added to the 59 he played in his first spell in the club and the 31 he played last season.
The Argentine is the sixth from the South American country to reach a centenary of games for Sevilla FC in the league, following in the footsteps of Diéguez (203), López (109) and Scotta (101), and more recently, Fazio (152) and Perotti (117). The midfielder is an indispensable figure for Pablo Machín, who has played him in 17 of Sevilla's 20 official games this season, with the Argentine scoring twice and providing four assists.
In his first spell at Sevilla, Éver Banega scored eight and gave seventeen assists in his 59 league games, while in the 31 he played last season he notched three goals and set his teammates up nine times.
