Morocco's preparations for Qatar 2022 came to an end on Thursday in the Emirati city of Sarja, where they beat Georgia in a friendly match. The Moroccan side's pair of Sevilla players both started the match, with Bono in goal and En-Nesyri as the attacking focal point. It took the striker just six minutes to make it 1-0, heading home a rebound in front of goal to beat the Georgian goalkeeper. Ziyech, still in the first half, and Boufal from the penalty spot in the second, saw out the win for Morocco.
While Bono remained on the pitch for the full 90 minutes without conceding, En-Nesyri's match came to an end at half-time when he was replaced by Hamdallah. Morocco open their World Cup Group F schedule with a testing clash against Croatia on Wednesday 23 November in Al Khor, kick-off at 11am.
