This weekend, the last set of international matches of the season take place, with twelve Sevillistas called up for action. This time round, it will be Tecatito's Mexico who are first up, with a friendly between Saturday night and Sunday morning against Nigeria in Arlington. They will then face two more friendlies, against Uruguay on Friday 3rd June and Ecuador on Monday 6th, in Glendale and Chicago respectively, before two CONCACAF Nations League matches against Suriname on 12th June and Jamaica three days later.
As for the three Argentines, Montiel, Acuña and Papu Gómez, they have been included in the squad for the 2022 Finalissima against Italy at Wembley on Wednesday 1st June. They are not the only trio to be called up by the same country, with En-Nesyri, Bono and Munir featuring for Morocco. They will travel to the USA for a friendly in Cincinnati on 2nd June, before a pair of AFCON qualifiers against South Africa on the 9th and Liberia four days later.
In Europe, the start of the Nations League is the highlight of this international break
Thursday 2nd also sees the first chance for Marko Dmitrovic and Nemanja Gudelj to play for Serbia, while Ludwig Augustinsson could feature with Sweden. As for Serbia, they kick off their group with two matches against Norway and Slovenia, while Sweden get underway with matches against the same two sides, but in reverse order. The three players could face off against each other when Serbia and Sweden clash in Belgrade on 9th June. Three days later, Sweden face a short trip to Norway for their last match of the break, while Serbia face Slovenia.
There could well be another match in which the two remaining Sevillistas are pitted against each other. France and Denmark have been drawn in Group A of the Nations League, and face each other in the opener on Friday 3rd June, meaning Koundé and Delaney could face each other. France then have matches against Croatia on 6th June, Austria on the 10th and Croatia on the 13th, while the Danes face a double header against Austria and a clash with Croatia on the same dates.
