Francico Javier García Guerrero, known in the footballing world as Javi Guerrero, has joined Sevilla FC's board; his role will see him act as a link between the Club and the First Team.
Javi Guerrero (22/10/1976) was a part of Real Madrid's youth system, where he was never able to make a first team appearance. He found homes at Albacete, Racing de Santander, Celta de Vigo, Recreativo de Huelva and UD Las Palmas before hanging up his boots in June 2013. In total he played 195 First Division matches (48 goals) and 126 Second Division matches (36 goals) in his extensive career.
When he retired with Las Palmas, García Guerrero fulfilled the role of an analyst, before eventually becoming an assistant to Josico and Paco Herrera in the 14/15 - in which Las Palmas secured promotion. That summer of 2015 he left the yellows.
