Current coach of Liverpool FC and reigning European Champion, Jürgen Klopp, gave a more than interesting response in an interview he carried out with the media team at FIFA, which has since been published on their different channels and social network sites. The 52 year old, who was born in Stuttgart, is always displaying his unique personality along with his own sense of humour, was asked about in which stadium he has enjoyed most playing throughout his career so far.

At that moment, Klopp knew exactly what his answer was going to be. The German didn't give a favourite, instead giving the following response: "I'm not sure it's the best stadium to play, but the stadium I hate most to play is Sevilla, because of the atmosphere there - that's a compliment!", the coach of The Reds stated whilst laughing.

Jürgen Klopp has managed just three draws in his three visits to the Sánchez-Pizjuán

Jürgen Klopp has visited the hallowed turf in Nervión on three occasions and, what might seem curious giving his response, is the fact that he's never been beaten there. Instead, Klopp wanted to state that it's a stadium he wouldn't like to visit again anytime soon. The first time he came, was when Mainz 05 visited in the third round of the UEFA Cup during the 2005/06 season, when the game finished as a goalless draw. This was, of course, the first season where Sevilla went on to lift the UEFA Cup (now the Europa League).

Next, Klopp returned to the Sánchez-Pizjuán with Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Europa League group stages during the 2010/11 season, with the scores tied at 2-2. Lastly, and the most memorable to date, at the time when Sevilla were coached by Eduardo Berizzo, Klopp's Liverpool came during the group stages of the 2017/18 Champions League season. Leading by 3 goals to nil at half-time, Sevilla staged a remarkable comeback as the game ended 3-3 in what was one of the most magical nights that Nervión has experienced.

To cap off Klopp's 'dark' history with Sevilla FC; although he has never managed in Spain and therefore has always been relatively far away from them, it must be remembered that in the other five encounters that he's played against Sevilla, he has still never been able to beat them. Of the eight games in total that Klopp has managed against Sevilla, the record is: four draws and four victories for Sevilla - the last of which came in Boston during pre-season.
