The sides arrived on level points in Pedgorica, but after a crucial away win against Montenegro, Simon Kjaer's Denmark have all but set their path to World Cup qualification. The centre-back was ever present in keeping a vital clean-sheet in the 0-1 win (goal from Erikssen), which left the likely standings of group qualification far more clear.
Poland thrashed Armenia and have virtually guaranteed direct qualification. They only need one point on Sunday against a Montenegro side who following their defeat, have been left without much hope of a World Cup place. The Montenegrins need nothing less than a win in Varsovia and for Denmark to lose to Romania (who have nothing to play for) in order to reach the playoffs.
All roads point towards Denmark in the playoffs, however a victory could see the side achieve their dream of direct qualification and a loss could leave them out of the World Cup entirely, depending on the result between Poland and Montenegro.
