Julen Lopetegui spoke to the media on the eve of the Copa del Rey clash with CE Andratx, against whom there is no room for complacency: "It's a cup tie, every match makes up a little bit of the cup campaign and each match has its own difficulties. You have to play in different situations and you can't choose them, you have to adapt to the playing surface and the size of the pitch. We're facing a good team who knocked out Oviedo and that says it all about the difficulties in this competition, especially in this type of scenario".
The coach is making no excuses about the pitch: "I know what I need to know, it's a synthetic pitch. I won't talk about the pitch because it is how it is. We have to adapt to it and to our opponents, that's who we're facing. We're aware of the difficulty of playing a one-off cup tie away from home and our only aim is to adapt and overcome the difficulties". He also spoke about team selection issues: "Fernando and Ocampos won't travel. We'll see about the rest of them, because some players have knocks. Surely all of them will travel because there are knocks that can improve in 24 hours, but Fernando and Ocampos are ruled out".
The Balearic side will be in good spirits, and Sevilla have to match that intensity: "Andratx are a good team. They knocked out Oviedo, they play their own game, they're good in the air, as they are with transitions and organisation. They've knocked out a team from the Second Division and we have to be ready mentally. We're excited about going one step further and the only match is tomorrow's match, that's the only way of approaching it. The team need to adapt mentally by thinking about competing against a team that will demand a lot of us. These matches are difficult for many reasons so we have to prepare".
To finish, he spoke about the presence of academy players in the squad: "Valentino is suspended. We'll need the academy players because of the injuries we have. They can be important, but not because it's an academy day, it's because they're with us and I'm sure they'll help us".
