Sevilla FC finally picked up their first home league win of the season, running out 2-1 winners over Getafe CF.
The team were dominant in the first half and deservedly led at the interval thanks to a Marcos Acuña header. Despite Getafe creating more chances in the second half, Bono pulled off some quality saves to stop the visitors from equalising.
Rafa Mir would then double our lead with ten minutes of normal time remaining, but Borja Mayoral's 87th minute goal set up a tense finale. However, Sevilla held on and picked up three vital points.
The first half saw us take full control with a number of shots and set pieces, including one near-post header from Jordán which drew a top save from David Soria, who needed to tip the ball onto the post to keep out the shot.
The team were rewarded with the opening goal late on in the half. Rakitic's free-kick from the left wing was flicked on at the near post by Acuña, who found the far corner.
Unal had Getafe's only chance of the half, heading wide from a free kick just before the interval.
Acuña scored the opener with a superb header from Rakitic's set piece
