Gabriel Mercado didn't hesitate in saying his team deserved a lot more than tonight's draw against Manchester United: "That's how we're all feeling after the result tonight. With a little more we could have easily found the back of the net. We created many opportunities against a top-level opponent. Nothing is certain, we've got a good result and we will go to Manchester with our sights set on the dream of qualifying".
Although the other team looked to create a threat from the back, the defense was top-level: "We knew that they were a team that sometimes fail to dominate, but that can come back with the counterattack and their quick attackers. However, we were alert and focused so that they couldn't create danger for us and this is what helped us massively".
One of the opponent's latest signings just couldn't have his day: "Alexis is an excellent player, but Jesús played incredibly and controlled well". To sum things up, he turned to think about the second leg: "It is the match that I have dreamed of playing since I was young. We will try and create chances as we have done today which could see us qualify".
