Papu Gómez, Bono and Jesús Navas spoke to the media following the draw to RCD Mallorca. Gómez spoke first and the Argentine attacker was obviously still upset with the end result: "It's clear that we leave a bit disappointed, sad and with a lot of anger, we looked to take away all three points, there were opportunities, but the ball didn't go in. We have to analyse the game well and see what has been happening to us in the second half of the season, be self-critical and see what we can fix for next season. There are two difficult games left, each of the opponents are playing for something and now it's time for us to got to Madrid and qualify for the Champions League. This because this club deserves Champions League football. I hope that the fans continue to support us because we need it a lot. We will try everything until the end, making sure to give it our all so that the fans are proud."
Yassine Bono, who on a positive note kept a clean sheet once again, was self-critical of the situation, promising that the team will give it their all in the next game: "We always play to win, but in the last stretch of the season everyone is playing for their lives and nothing is easy, so we have to face up to these two final games. I think the team tried their best against a team that defended well, but it wasn't to be and we have to think about the next match. They're two very different games as there is an emotional element involved and we have to be up to the task, challenge and be at our best. We are going to rest and prepare ourselves for the game against Atlético and look forward to the challenge that awaits us."
Finishing off the interviews was the captain, Jesús Navas, who had to hold back his stress, indicating that the team's patience wasn't there tonight: "The team kept trying all game, we lacked a bit of patience, we had our chances, but it wasn't to be. We have to think ahead for Atlético and hopefully we can achieve qualification. To the fans, I would say to them that we have to carry on fighting together. There are these two games left and the team is going to carry on giving its all until the end. "
