The three players who spoke to Official Media after our win against Sporting in the Troféu Cinco Violinos are very familiar with Os Leões, as they all spent time in the Primeira Liga before joining Sevilla.
The first player to be interviewed was goalscorer and ex-FC Porto player Tecatito, who spoke about the his aims and the team's time in Lagos so far.
"I'm feeling good, we're getting minutes and we're preparing for the season. It's been a very positive start. To start contributing and helping the team is what I have in mind and I hope to keep doing so".
"I already knew Lagos, I've been there a few times before and these past few days have been very encouraging".
"We're happy with the team's performance"
Next up was a former teammate at FC Porto, Óliver Torres, who praised the performance and highlighted the team's desire to win, even in pre-season.
"We knew that they had more minutes under their belt but it was important to start feeling good and recharging our batteries. We're happy with the team's performance and we'll keep getting ready".
"We felt good in the first half, they did a great job in the second half, but the important part starts later on. When you compete, even if it's a friendly, you want to win and it's normal for there to be that tension, it demonstrates the work we're doing".
"Portugal is a pleasant country to come and work in, we are strong and eager, and hopefully it will be a great year".
"I feel comfortable as a centre-half"
To finish, it was the turn of ex-Leão Nemanja Gudelj, who spoke positively about his return to the José Alvalade and playing at centre back instead of playing as a defensive midfielder.
"I'm happy to be back here, seeing friends who welcomed me really well and allowed me to have a happy year here. I'm also happy to be getting back into the swing of things, that's what important and that's what we're doing".
"I feel comfortable as a centre-half, it's not the first time I've played there, the manager deems it necessary and I will always do whatever he asks me for. For me, playing is what's important".
"We're feeling very good here in Portugal but we have to keep going. We've got some nice matches coming up to get into a rhythm and improve, and then to be truly ready for the start of the season".
