The Champions League is back after three weeks with the second leg of the Round of 16 where Sevilla FC come up against Borussia Dortmund in Germany. Sevilla will have to overcome the 2-3 defeat at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán to get into the quarter-finals. It will be a difficult task at the BVB Stadion Dortmund, but in Europe nothing is impossible for Sevilla.
Julen Lopetegui's team will also be looking to put an end to a run of three straight defeats in a week - the Cup elimination and two La Liga losses. Sevilla need at least two goals more than the Germans to win and to repeat Dortmund's result in the first leg to bring it to extra time. Aleix Vidal did not make the trip after his injury at the Camp Nou, while Lopetegui did not confirm whether Bono or Koundé would be back in action after missing out on the last games.
Borussia Dortmund welcome Sevilla FC after losing in the Bundesliga to Bayern Munich
Borussia Dortmund welcome the Nervionenses after falling to defeat in their last league match against Bayern Munich by four goals to two. Edin Terzic's team are sixth in the Bundesliga, four points from the Champions League spots. Dortmund will be without Jadon Sancho who had an impressive performance in the first leg, as well as Reyna, Guerreiro and Witsel.
Tonight's task will be a tough one for Lopetegui's men, even more so considering that in Dortmund's last 35 games, they have only failed to score in one - all the way back in September. However, Julen asserted in the pre-match press conference that 'the team is absolutely still in it and we will give it everything we have,' while Joan Jordán reminded that 'the team know what to do if we play our usual game.'
The match will be played this Tuesday, 9 February at the BVB Stadion Dortmund. Kick-off is at 21:00 CET and the match will be refereed by Cuneyt Cakir.
