Group G, in which Sevilla FC find themselves, has been completely decided before the final match. Sevilla will finish third and will play in the UEFA Europa League in February, while the home side will reach the last 16 of the Champions League as group winners. Sevilla FC have five points, while City have 11 points and are still unbeaten.

Jorge Sampaoli has named a 24-man squad, including En-Nesyri, who missed out against Rayo Vallecano, and Carlos Álvarez from the reserve side. Pep Guardiola, has ruled out Haaland's presence tonight, as well as announcing minutes for the less regular members of his squad.

Sevilla FC captain Jesús Navas returns to what was his home for four seasons between 2013 and 2017, where he made nearly 200 appearances, before returning to Sevilla in the 17/18 campaign. Likewise, Sevilla FC return seven years later to the Etihad Stadium, where they lost 2-1 in the group stage of the 15/16 season, a season in which they would eventually lift their fifth UEFA Europa League title.
Referee
The match will be refereed by 41-year-old Israeli referee Orel Grinfeld, in his Champions League debut this season. He has refereed two matches at this level prior to tonight's game.
