Football comes around in circles. On 1 March 2020, Sevilla FC welcomed CA Osasuna to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. It was a cloudy morning, on the cusp of spring, with Sevilla in a tough moment but a match they could use to get back on track. The match would turn out to be no walk in the park, despite Osasuna's goalkeeper receiving a red card, and it took a Youssef En-Nesyri double at the end to turn the match around. That was the last time fans would attend a match in Nervión. The team from Pamplona return to Sevilla's home on Saturday, three days after a match quite similar to the one in March. Since that day, the team had not comeback from a losing position at home, they had not scored three goals at home nor had En-Nesyri scored a brace. All of that changed on Wednesday against Krasnodar.

Once more a Sevilla in a difficult situation managed to show the character to secure the three points, which were just as vital as those back in March. They are no less valuable today as, despite the good form in Europe, the team are still having difficulties in La Liga, falling to three consecutive defeats. Arrasate's men were no pushovers in March and they won't be today, with the team sitting on three points more than Sevilla having played a game extra. The Navarran side are missing Brasanac, Calleri, Aridane and Juan Pérez through injury, in addition to the long-term injuries of Brandon and Chimy Ávila. It seems that ex-Mallorca player Budimir will lead the line in their 4-2-3-1.

The match will be the last before the latest international break, with half of Sevilla's players heading off on international duty. The team know they must sign off with a return to winning ways in La Liga. Even after the hard-fought win against Krasnodar, it is not expected the line-up will change too much. Suso and Idrissi will miss out with injury, but Sergi Gómez has managed to pass a fitness test and joins the squad. With everything very tight at the bottom of the table, Sevilla could move up to mid table with a win and still have two games in hand on the majority of teams in the league.

The Valencian Juan Martínez Munuera will referee the match, his first time refereeing a Sevilla match since last season's match at the Santiago Bernabéu. His last time officiating a Osasuna match was matchday 2 last season, with Arrasate's team drawing 2-2 at home against FC Barcelona. José Luis González González will be in charge of VAR.
