The relationship between Sevilla FC Women and the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán can be traced back to the 2004/05 season. Since their formation out of CD Híspalis, the current women's first division side have played several matches at the stadium, all of them in the first year in which women's football began to be part of the club. The 11th August 2004 was the first experience of Sevilla with the stadium in Nervión. It was an unveiling game in which the Sevilla team, then in the highest division known as the 'Women's Super League' played in a game against Atlético Jiennense from the Second Division in a match which ended 12-0 to Sebastián Borrás' side.
In terms of official matches, they have a record of one more with two defeats by one goal. The most famous win was on January 23rd 2005 when they won against the all-powerful FC Barcelona of today by a convincing 8-0 in the sixteenth match of the season. In the game against Barcelona, Auxi scored three times, Cori and Sandra both got a brace each and Vanessa score the other. The women's team wouldn't have to wait long for another game on the pitch in Nervión because two matchdays later Athletic Club visited Nervión and won 2-1 in a close game. The starting lineups from that period was made up of nés, Álex, Amparo, Chabe, Rocío López, Sandra, Vanessa, Ali, Willy, Cori and Auxi.

It was also in the same season when the Copa de la Reina gave the Sevilla team another opportunity to play at the stadium. The quarter-final was just as close as it was painful. The home side won the first leg at the Municipal Puebla de la Calzada 2-1 leaving the game open but they won 1-0 in the second leg to go through. The Sevilla team were however able to take to the pitch in a game against Getafe a week before Javi Navarro would lift the first UEFA Cup. The international, captain and best player Auxi Jiménez had the honour of kicking in front of a packed Nervión.
Now the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán will bring a new opportunity for those both in the stands and on the pitch to enjoy the pure essence of the white and red stadium in search of a win on a day on which, whatever happens, year after year, will give more support and make professionalisation a reality.
