It wasn't to be as Sevilla FC were eliminated in Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16. The team were close to overturning the 3-2 defeat in the first leg in Nervión, but the hosts held out to book their ticket into the quarter-finals. Julen Lopetegui's men fought and played to the limit, coming back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2, setting up a grand finale at the BVB Stadion Dortmund. They could not find the third goal however, and they say farewell to the Champions League in their sixtieth game in the competition - a number they will look to build on next season.
