Internationalisation continues to be a key aim with club President José María del Nido Carrasco, recently taking part in the Sports Summit in Mexico City to give a presentation on the club's strategy in foreign markets.
In his presentation titled "Sevilla FC, a Club Open to the World: An International Narrative," he outlined the key points of the club's branding, commercial, and communication strategy abroad, particularly in various strategic markets including China, India, the United States, Mexico, and the MENA region. Specifically, he emphasised that "You could not understand Sevilla without its history. We are a club with over 130 years of history, with incredible sporting success in recent years. You could not know Sevilla FC without the city and vice versa."
Mexico, the host country of the event, also featured prominently in the presentation. It is also a region where various international initiatives were developed last season, including the sponsorship agreement with Aeroméxico and the 2023 pre-season tour.
Del Nido Carrasco also took advantage of the visit to meet with representatives of the Mexican airline, as well as with two of the most important teams in the country, Club América and Pachuca, and visited the facilities of Sky, LaLiga's broadcaster in the region.
