RAMÓN MARTÍNEZ BECOMES SEVENTH ACADEMY GRADUATE TO DEBUT IN LALIGA THIS SESON

The academy always steps up when needed and more than ever this season. On Sunday in Valladolid, defender Ramón Martínez became the seventh player from the academy to make his first-team debut in the league this season after he came only in the closing stages for Kike Salas. Five others who featured in the 4-0 win were homegrown as Carmona, Juanlu, Isaac and Manu Bueno all featured. Meanwhile, Matías, Idumbo and Rivera were on the bench. 

Ramón Martínez's appearance in the second half was the latest debut by an academy player this season. In chronological are the players are: Idumbo against Girona, Mejía against Athletic, Isra Domínguez against Real Sociedad, García Pascual and Darío against Celta and Antonetti against Espanyol. In addition, Ramón Martínez, Idumbo, Isra and García Pascual have also featured in the Copa del Rey this season while Darío's debut in the Copa del Rey took place last season. 

Other players to have made their debuts this season include Alberto Collado in the first round against Las Rozas CF, while Andrés Castrín made his debut in the second round against UE Olot.
