To celebrate another Champions League night in Seville, an official Sevilla FC and Arsenal dinner was held at one of the city's most iconic attractions - the Metropol Parasol, more commonly referred to as 'Las Setas' (The Mushrooms). It is the tallest wooden structure in the world and has become a symbol of the city. During 2022, it was the second most searched location in the world. In order to give a warm welcome to Arsenal, one of the biggest football clubs in Europe, this picturesque location was used to host the official Champions League dinner.
In the past, we have hosted events at the Royal Alcázar of Seville to greet Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Juventus while Manchester City and Fenerbahçe were welcomed at the famous Plaza de España. Sevilla FC continue to develop the relationship between the club and the city, and Arsenal's representatives were invited to watch an exclusive promotional video, showcasing the best of the city's culture, on a 180º screen.
During the dinner, our president José Castro gave the London-based club's board the usual gift for these occasions - a small sculpture of two torsos, one wearing a Sevilla shirt and the other wearing Arsenal's, dated the 24th of October 2023. This is Arsenal's second official visit to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, having played here in 2007, also a Champions League match.
