The U19s claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Youth League. Lola Rosano's side were the better team for large parts of the game and the victory means that qualification is in their own hands.
They started well in the first half and managed to get their noses in front after 17 minutes of play. Diego Jiménez's great cross teed up Bakary Sow to head home powerfully. Ultimately, that goal was enough to secure all three points despite PSV coming close. Bars hit the post towards the end of the first half for the away side.
After the break, PSV continued to search for the equaliser that never came. Just after the hour mark, our U19s had a chance to double their lead, but Iván Salguero's effort crashed into the outside of the post. As full time approached, both sides had opportunities with Ibra looking very lively for the U19s, but the match ended 1-0.
Tuvieron minutos: Iker Villar, Edu y Alberto González.
