Speaking to the press, Gabriel Mercado discussed the exciting draw against Liverpool: "The first-half, as anyone could see, was not good for us. We made a lot of mistakes against a great team like Liverpool, but at half-time we had a good team-talk with the coach about changing our attitude and focus - which is what we saw in the second-half. We pressured well and we got more men into the opponent's half. We sensed that this could be our chance - and it was".

The player recognised that the change in dynamic following half-time was the decisive factor: "When we play like we did in the second-half we're able to take on any team, but we will try and iron out the mistakes we made so that we can improve and not struggle as much. What was nice to see was the team's commitment and a result like this is valuable". Furthermore, he spoke about the team finding that something extra in the break: "We cleared our heads and we looked ahead to a possible comeback. We started with that goal from Wissam and I am extremely happy for the squad".

Finally, the player praised both the incredible comeback and the unrelenting strength in Nerviòn: "They are matches to remember and I hope that in the future we can give it our all as we have done tonight, but win. We look to become even stronger and we will try to prolong this winning streak for as long as possible".
