After a more than five hour flight, Sevilla FC landed in Moscow, Shemeretyevo on Sunday afternoon. After boarding at a cool 30 degrees celsius, the side flirted with zero degrees on arrival. At least having travelled a day earlier than usual on account of the long journey, the players will have time to acclimatise to the Russian cold. This Monday the players will get the opportunity to familiarise themselves with Spartak's stadium and train on what is said to be a perfect pitch - one of the jewels for next year's World Cup.

At 19:00pm Spanish time, the team will have a training session under the instruction of Berizzo, who has brought 22 players to Russia, including Juan Soriano as a third goalkeeper. Three players will be ruled out on Tuesday. Kjaer is expected to be fit after a knock picked in the San Mamés, though there are still concerns over the state of Banega's heel. Monday's session should clear up doubts.

As usual, Club Chairman, José Castro, led the trip. In fact, the whole board has accompanied the team on the expedition, including new board member Carolina Alés. Approximately 100 fans have travelled with the team and it's expected fifty more will join up with the team in the stadium - including a handful of Russian Sevillistas.
