In previous international breaks, the other bulk of Sevilla players also managed to achieve qualification for the World Cup finals. The Argentinians, who this time were represented by Montiel and Ocampos, already had mathematically qualified, and throughout qualification has called up Acuña and Papu Gómez, completing the four Sevilla players for the South American country. In Europe three other countries had already qualified with Sevilla players. Delaney, with Denmark, Gudelj and Dmitrovic with Serbia and Koundé with France and they were also involved for their national teams this international break playing friendly games.
It is worth noting that out of all the internationals who went off to play for their countries, only Augustinsson with Sweden was unable to qualify for the Qatar World Cup, falling in the final and decisive game against Poland, who will be in the Middle East for the finals this year.
