Sevilla has the fourth largest budget in the Spanish League (after Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid) which is considered to be the best league in the world. Last summer, Sevilla went on a signing spree, and aims to be one of the top 4 this season as well.
Playtika was purchased about a year ago by the Chinese game developer Giant Interactive for $4.4 billion. The company employs around 1,600 employees in 15 offices around the world. The company's headquarters are in Israel, and it has offices in the US, Canada, Australia, Argentina, Japan, Romania, Ukraine and Belarus.
Under the sponsorship agreement, which is valued at several million dollars, Playtika will be Sevilla’s main sponsor. Logos of Playtika’s most popular games will appear on the players’ shirts. The branding will also appear on signs around the stadium, the club’s buses and the players’ entrance into the field. Playtika will create video segments featuring Sevilla’s players and promote the games in the club’s digital channels. The contract signed by Playtika and Sevilla is an annual contract with an option to extend it further.
“The sponsorship agreement with Sevilla, which shares similar values with Playtika, will enable us to reach new and diverse audiences,” says Arik Sandler, Playtika’s CFO. “This unique cooperation will strengthen the company’s brands, which are already enjoyed by tens of millions of players around the world”.
